Karl Ömmer, Walter Freimüller and Stefan Bergmair-Russmann established packit! Verpackungen GmbH together with Paul Schäfer in 2000. With a lot of joint industry experience behind them, offset-laminated packaging is now produced in a former ammunition factory in Neuzeug, Upper Austria.
The increasing trend towards high-quality offset-laminated packaging benefited the young company in the ’00s. New customers were convinced by the abundance of commitment and the number of employees grew to 40.
The T4P (Team for Packaging) was founded in 2008 together with a long-term packaging expert. The T4P becomes a system service provider for the food products and discount sectors with total capacity in product and services fitting precisely these requirements.
In 2008, the location in Neuzeug reached its limits in terms of production technology and logistics. The decision was made to build a new, modern facility with sufficient high-bay storage capacity.
After a construction period lasting only 8 months, the new packit! factory in Waldneukirchen, directly on the B122 highway, is set for inauguration in 2009.
A completely new machine park and a fully automatic high-bay warehouse for a total of 10,000 pallets makes the packit! facility one of the most modern packaging plants for offset laminated packaging in Europe.
The introduction of twin secure has created a sensation in the industry. The double wall combines a high-quality appearance with maximum stability. From the start, the material was well received by trade and industry and has been developing into an industry standard.
packit! reacts to changes in the field of packaging with direct food contact in 2012 with the “Fruit Protector”. Through the use of fresh fibre paper on the interior and elimination of optical brighteners, an ideal solution for vegetables and fruit bowls emerges which inhibits the migration of mineral oils and other substances in packaged food products.
The existing cooperation between Dinkhauser Kartonagen and Aristos is further intensified in 2009. By also customising the logos, the two companies will appear together as “The Strong Group” in the future.
The new packit! high-bay warehouse completed its test phase in 2014 and successfully went into operation. With a height of 24 m, a length of 115 m and a width of 18 m, it offers space for 11,500 additional Euro pallet spaces and allows packit! to operate in 4-shift production, thereby providing an even better service for the customer.
The production hall in Waldneukirchen was to be extended by a further 6,500 m2 in 2017 and new state-of-the-art corrugated cardboard infrastructure installed together with new processing machines and the corresponding automatic palletising system.
